Through its transparent and ethical management, Olfar strives to know and consider all those involved in its processes to create a channel of dialogue and initiatives that prioritize mutual respect and growth.
The initiatives that guide Olfar and promote social responsibility are based on its commitment to conducting its operations with excellence and innovation as well as continuous efforts to encourage agents within its production chain through the development of the dozens of municipalities and thousands of people that form part of the company's operations by generating jobs and income.
Corporate Social Responsibility: aimed at the company's social capital, the program is responsible for planning initiatives that encourage the development of its employees by promoting quality of life and well-being through insurance and benefit plans that contribute to the growth and satisfaction of its internal public.
Social Fuel Seal: awarded by the Ministry of Agrarian Development through the National Program for the Production and Use of Biofuel, the seal was awarded to Olfar for complying with the necessary requirements for the purchase of raw materials from family-run farms.
In addition to directly benefitting family producers by receiving the Seal, Olfar provides those registered with PRONAF (DAP) and under contract to the company with technical assistance and complimentary training through agricultural technicians who monitor producers, instructing them on new technology and monitoring production.
Distribution of ICMS Added Value: through unprecedented mobilization in Brazil, Olfar supported the approval of a Bill allowing the municipality in which the company is based (Erechim) to share ICMS Added Value funds from Olfar's biodiesel production with other municipalities in the region. This project allows member municipalities to receive a percentage on raw material produced on their land.
